KARI COUCHMAN - INSTRUctor and therapistA structurally balanced body is a dynamic body which allows the free flow of energy and is the basis for your sense of vitality and well being.
Kari Couchman runs Kropp og Sjel (Body and Soul) and has 22 years of experience as a bodyworker and instructor. She gives courses in various treatment modalities and sees clients on an individual basis. Classes and courses are tailored to meet different needs and settings and can last from 50 min. to several months. She has practiced yoga since 1988, and yoga is an integral part of her life. Kari's teaching is inspired by all the yoga traditions she has studied. In order to respect and honour each person's unique abilites, talents, and limitations, she focuses on individual accomodations, saftey and alignment, where breathing is more important than postures. The goal is not perfecting the body or the poses, but rather to experience oneself in the moment. Individual sessions The causes of structural imbalance are many – from obvious physical injury to subtle, unconscious movement patterns. Each session is therefore tailored to meet the specific needs of the client. Kari uses a wide range of techniques and approaches, such as Cranio Sacral Therapy, Syntropy (Neuromuscular Repatterning), massage, Applied Kinesiology, Aromatherapy, therapeutic exercises and Yoga. These are used individually or in a combination best suited to the client's needs and wishes. Clients take part in their own healing process by the act of setting their intent at the beginning of a session. The intention can be anything from the alleviation and management of chronic pain or help with an acute injury, to simply enjoying a restorative and nourishing massage. |
