Integrative Bodywork
Workshops for therapists
Module I - Lower Back: Module II - Neck and Jaw: Workshops in Integrative Bodywork are held every semester and are especially suited to therapists. Each module takes 8 hours and the principles learned can be integrated into your existing therapeutic practices. In these workshops we learn to use gentle, repetitive movements to facilitate change in the body's movement patterns. They focus on the body's structural potential and the connections between its parts. We will gently explore and encourage new movement options which can reprogram the inefficient neuromuscular patterns that cause pain, stiffness, and weakness. You will learn to listen and communicate with your hands and thereby suggest, rather than force, lasting change. In addition you will be given therapeutic exercises that your clients may practice at home, extending the benefits of your therapy sessions. The goal is pain management and lasting change from acute and chronic negative patterns. The course can also be held on request. For more information contact Kari at [email protected] |
