Passive and active poses focus on precise alignment in order to learn each pose and practice it safely. We use blocks, straps, and blankets to help us get into the poses, so that they are accessible to everyone. This class is perfect for beginners and teachers, and everyone in between. Level 2: A more intensive and challenging practice for those who have some yoga experinece. The focus is on refining alingment and introducing more advanced asanas, like arm balances and inversions. There are both static poses and a varied flow of poses where the breath is synchronized with movements. Learn to balance effort and surrender! Power yoga: A challenging and athletic practice which will give you a complete workout. This class is inspired by ashtanga vinyasa primary series, but adapted to this day and age. You will strengthen your body's core, release tension, and improve your flexibiliy, stability and balance. We end the practice with relaxation. Focus will be on breathing in syncronization with the movements and correct alingment and saftey. Restorative: Relax, renew, and rejuvenate! Enjoy a slower tempo with lots of supported poses which gently facilitate deeply letting go. Turn your attention inwards and nourish a connection to yourself. Longer held poses help release tension in the tissues around the joints, nourish the organs, and stimulate the flow of your life force. Practice non-doing and everything will fall into place….. Senior yoga: Challenge without strain! yoga is a source of vitality, and you are as young as your spine is flexible, and it is never too late to begin! This yoga is adapted for those who are no longer younger than 50...physical postures, breathing exercises and relaxation can enhance well-being and increase energy levels. Mental and physical flexibility and balance are the focus, with individual adaptations by using walls, chairs, blocks and belts to accommodate limitations and allow each body to unfold in its time.
